What Happens When I Sit Back and Relax

With the end of the year drawing to a close, there's been a little less focus on madly sewing stock, and a bit more time for creating special little pieces for special little people.

I've made this outfit for a lovely little girl's special day.

And this tiny dress-shirt for a 1st birthday / Christmas celebration.

And I've even managed to sew some JimJams for Bradley - it seems the more I sew, the less time I've had to make things for my ever-patient family, so this was a real joy.

Doing all this has been so good for me. It's been relaxing; and creative; and has helped me to remember what it is I love in life, and why we started this business in the first place.

Business for 2011 will recommence soon enough. With a fresh outlook for a new year, and a plan for making sure that personal-life and work-life complement - rather than compete with - each other.

But the next few weeks is going to be about catching up on sewing for my loved ones - my husband and child; and friends and family both near and far.

Oh, and I might even sneak in some sewing for myself!

Nat, please sew something for yourself!

Great new pj's, and the outfit is fabulous.

That little dress shirt is divine. It's all divine, of course... but the little tie is cute without being daggy. Love it. x

Lovely happy clothes Nat. Sometimes you just need to sew for enjoyment (and yourself)

Thanks everyone!
I do have some leggings for myself on my to-do list, but that just doesn't seem exciting enough.
Hmm, I think maybe a Colette pattern is calling me...
